    Red mite infestation!

If you can move all of the chicks and chickens into a an uninfested coop after getting rid of the mites on them, that should help. Social distance your chickens so that they do not spread it to the other ones. Exterminate that coop and move them back in.

    Should They Be Cleaned?

Unless they are really dirty, do not wash them. They are better off with the dirt than washed. Washing off the bloom removes all of the protection. The pores become open and more bacteria can get in. The dirt should not pose too much of a threat, as there is still bloom covering the pores...

    Cracked beak

Is it affecting her eating or drinking at all? If not, immediate action does not necessarily need to be taken. For the showing beak skin, maybe put the part of the bandaid that has the adhesive over it. This area will be sensitive and can get infected so use bandaid adhesive (from the kind of...

    Broken leg?

One of my chicks might have a broken or sprained leg. She will not let us touch her so we cannot find out where on the leg but it looks like it is near the thigh. What do I do?

    Newly lame pullet

She does not have bumblefoot, she has a 3 foot roost right now, so not likely, she is not in pain anywhere, her butt is not pasty, I am embarrassed to ask this but what is a crop?, she has good health, it is really just her legs, she can't stand but she is eager to get out. Her poop I cannot...

Advice on temporary electric fencing as a run

A light electric fence is a great idea for that. My farm had a similar problem and the fox came around one time after that and got zapped and never came back. If you do not have an outside plug-in then set up the run close to your house with a long extension cord and you should be good
