    thanks for the info.we already save vegetable for our the compost..so were some what condition Ed. Can I ask, do u keep there feeder and water in the coop? I hear conflicting stories. Varmints tend to try getting inside if food is there? I want to locate it in the right place.

    OK what is an EE ? im new to all this. Lets see, we are getting 1 buff orpington, 2 Buff Brahma, Golden laced Wyandotte, and 1 blacl Australop. They all are a clam bird, and we need that here, concidering they need to be fairly quiet..cause were not suppose to have chicken in this neighborhood...

    My husband and I are getting 5 chicks. Our grandkids are so excited about it. I have done a lot of research on the breeds.we will be getting Orpingtons , buff Brahmas,, golden laced wyandotte, anf Black Australorps. Im glad you have chickens, you must be having lots of fun with them.

    Hi everyone! I'm a new bee, and have learned a huge amount of info. From the site..u all are so nice to share what u have learned. I love the poop catcher idea for under their roosting posts at night. We are getting our chicks in about 3 weeks, just doing some final work on the run.

    Your girl is so beautiful. I'm looking forward to getting one. Our neighborhood is not to have them, but some of us do..getting the quiet birds. So in 3 weeks we will have 5 baby chicks coming. Yeah!::)
