hey superdude, there fine, the eat protein, and if you notice that thers, probelly alot of dust in your food, if chickents eat, its protein for them, they after months they will detirote your food, but if ya have many birds you won't notcice a differance.. i would take it back if there is...
i dont think a hawk, would of did that, they would swoop and take it, or kill it if having a hard trying to get it, if you lived near water, it would IMO defantly be a weaseal or a muskrat, its said and at least 2 poulty predator, books, i've read that wesals are notorious for taking just heads...
thank you to all, i just want some pretty birds pifering around the barn, then it hits me i have some (well culls, that i couldn't kill ) around the edge of our properety, the free-range and stick to them selves, i guess i could put them in the Iwanna for free.. or try to give 'em away, im sure...
since i've raised fowl for about 2 years.. but not your standerd "barnyard chickens" i've raised gamefowl and know by tragic experince you can't keep to roosters loose, but what about say jersey giants and Buffs, have RIR hens and buff hens, and have some bantnies, but never had normal roosters...
