    Sorry I didn't get back before today. Wasn't on the computer this weekend. I ended up finding a local source and got 60 eggs: BCMs, Cream Legbars, Araucana, Wyndotte (these were hatchery), plus some BB Red and Silkie. Thanks for the offer!

    I would be interested...but yes...driving for 6 eggs is probably not worth it. If someone is coming this way, that would be great...but I don't want you to have to go out of your way to do it. What can you tell me about your RIRs? Thanks!

    I am giving 16 of these to a friend. I'll keep some, sell some...roosters will get put in the freezer ;) I am specifically working with the Delaware breed, so I will hatch a lot more this year and try to keep the best hens for breeding next year. I try to keep about 25-30 hens year round.

    I found my homemade incubator on craigslist and did some modifications to it. I can incubate 82 eggs at a time with the automatic turners. It has served me very well!

    You know...my experience with my incubator has always been about 20.5 days...I would count the night I set it as day 1 and expect to see them start hatching in the middle of the day on day 21. Not sure if that is the case with everyone else, but it has been very consistent for me.
