I have a 12 week old barred rock cockerel if any one is interested in either giving him a new home or sending him to freezer camp ( just don't tell me, I don't want to know) I just don't want to list him on craigslist. He is a good boy and has never been aggressive ( he has only been held a few times)He is just starting to find his voice and it is sooo sweet, although my DH doesn't think so. I don't really want any Roos so if anyone could help me out that would be great! Sorry for the really bad pic!

Still looking for some hatching eggs in Southwestern Indiana. Preferably non-hatchery, pure bred standard size chickens. I like dual purpose chickens, but I would be willing to consider anything! Please let me know if you have anything you would sell. I live 30 min north of Evansville. I am willing to drive a bit to pick these up.

Send me a PM!

Thanks!

I've been getting a few heritage RIR fertile eggs a week. But even 6 would not really be worth the drive. However, I might know someone heading towards Evansville. If you are interested in 4-6 eggs, message me and I'll see if I can set something up.

I have not had the best of luck with shipped eggs...that being said, I may be interested...what would you charge and how many would you send? I wouldn't need the mixed eggs...I have some mixed marans birds laying now.

Where are your birds from, if I may ask?

I would be interested...but yes...driving for 6 eggs is probably not worth it. If someone is coming this way, that would be great...but I don't want you to have to go out of your way to do it.

What can you tell me about your RIRs?

Thanks!

Well, this isn't really farm related, but I wanted to share. :D As of today I'm officially enrolled at IPFW as an Ecology and Evolutionary Biology major!! Unfortunately, all the Biology and Organic Chemistry classes are full already for next semester, so I'm enrolled for Calculus ( :sick ) and first-year German with the hopes that some concentration classes will open up. :fl I have a mixture of nervousness and excitement going right now.
