    Older Ladies Pecking Eachother

They eat pellets and coral shell, they only get out when the weather is nice. they live in a 4 by 6 pen in the furnace room. We really have no other place to put them. We have been thinking about making it taller, will that help?

    Older Ladies Pecking Eachother

I have only had chickens for 2 months and the 2 older ladies peck each other, that was one of the reasons we didn't put the 3 new ones in with them. They have no feather on their backs how do I get them to stop?

    are chickens pets?

My chickens all have names and I talk to them everyday, it's a little sick that I named to sweet and sour but I don't think I could bring my self to eat them. In fact the 3 new ones I got don't lay eggs. I want to learn as much as I can about them so I can raise chicks in the spring.

Hello, I'm a new member from Berlin Vermont!

They are seperate we didn't want to put them together yet. they are side by side in pens. The new chickens don't want to come near me yet, they are kind of rescue chickens. They came from a place with a mean kid that killed one. My two older ones let me paint their nails and hold them.

Hello, I'm a new member from Berlin Vermont!

I first started raising chickens when the people we bought our place from sweetend the deal with to red and white chickens, we think they are at least two years old. I have a million questions? I just got 3 more that are 6 months old (we think). I think one of the new ones may be an easter...
