Thank you! I'm starting to lean towards an olive egger! Its just crazy to me because they didn't advertise that they had any olive eggers, just easter eggers! I think maybe a employee there wasn't sure what any of them were and just put them in the box. The friend of mine who picked mine up for...
Yeah, I'm pretty upset about it (towards the feed store), that i have to guess what they are when they aren't what i bought, but I'll love them anyway, just would at least like to know what i have.
I agree, i can pick out the 2 very easily! The chicks they were selling at the same time were
Blue Laced Gold Wyandottes
Easter Eggers
Buckeye
Barnevelder
Speckled Sussexs and Chocolate Orpingtons.
But to me they look like neither, they look to light to be Barnevelders.
The feed store told me they get their chicks from Hoover, do they sell mixes? I've always gotten my chicks from Cackle so I'm not all that familiar with Hoover.
They looked a lot like speckled sussexs as chicks but i have some speckled sussexs in the brooder with them and they look completely different now that they are all getting their feathers.
I got them from a local feed store, they were selling chocolate orpingtons, so i asked a friend to pick 5 up for me while she was there, when i got them, i knew they weren't chocolates, so I've been trying to figure out for weeks what they are. They looked a lot like speckled sussexs as chicks...
Thats what i had done also, and even told them they looked nothing like the pics online. I believe they are wyandottes or either speckled sussexs, i actually have both right now that i had gotten from cackle a week ago and they look identical to them!
I'm just making sure that I'm not crazy lol. I'm no expert, but I'm not new at chicken keeping either, i even told them they looked to be speckled sussexs and maybe wyandottes, but nope! "The chocolate orpingtons come in all sorts of colors."
