What kind of ointment did you use? Was it just an antibiotic ointment? I'm afraid to touch it, it looks so painful! I also have 10 ducks, down from 13 due to a raccoon also. I am going to have a vet look at him who treats livestock. She's pretty sure she could get me some antibiotics for him. I am picking up pedalyte to give him. He is drinking water but not much. Crossing my fingers! I will also call the feed store and see if they know someone. Thanks for that... -

I just got home from work and he's quite spunky but, the wound on his back is festering. I am giving him diluted vinegar baths which is a natural antiseptic and wont harm him. His beak is so torn up it's painful to look at him. I'm trying to contact a vet that will at least clean his wounds... -

thank you for the reply. He is trying to clean his feathers but cant open the beak any more than 1/16th of an inch. I'm going to try to feed him moisten grain today. -
