    Cysts? on neck and face

Hot tweezers and a needle....squeeze all the puss out and then keep it clean. Chickens are tough birds but I would keep an eye on the redness and swelling. Once its cleaned out completely you can use contact (eye) solution to rinse it and sugar to prevent bacteria from growing. Rinse it at least...

Can I see your indoor/house chickens?

I have 5 indoor/outdoor chickens. 1 EE Rooster and 3 EE and an old Rock hen. They come inside to roost at night and go out during the day unless the weather is terrible then they remain indoors. I constantly clean my floors but other than that they are wonderful pets. Very intelligent and well...

    Sinus Infection/Swollen head Syndrome?

I'm not an expert but it seems like a build up of fluid and should be drained and cleaned. If you can I would take her to an avian veterinarian to get looked at if you haven't already. Is the swollen area soft or firm?

What does "Bock Bock BA-GOCK!" mean?

It just means they're excited about something. Sometimes it's an alert to something unknown and possibly dangerous and sometimes it's because they laid an egg and sometimes it's because they've found something they want the others to see.

Should Chickens live in your home?

My birds live in my Kitchen, I am constantly cleaning though. I sweep and mop the floors at least once a day. I have a very clean kitchen lol. I would never cage them up all day though, when the weather isn't bad I shoo them outdoors to eat and dig and explore, and we have an extra large...

    Remembering the Chickens You've Lost

Lost one of my girls today.... :( Samantha one month old Buff Orpington. She was the sweetest and most gentle of all the ladies. I miss my little peach. I suspect there was a creature that ran off with her. We set traps. I hope I catch the *******.
