Oreo, my Barred Rock roo who came into the house after getting into a bad fight and suffering an eye infection.

(Okay, I'm sorta cheating. I only taught him to sleep in there at night. During the day, I still had to clean up after him. )

First off I've had tons of house chickens but the 6 that I have right now are.....

Kernal and Krispy full gorwn white leghorns almost 3 years old come the end of April(two of three the first chickens I ever had)

I have 2 serama girls that are part time insiders. During the day they go out with the big guys in the coop/run but when the sun goes down, they come in. Both have their own "spot" to call their own. They cannot go on the floor because I have "The Jaws of Death" (a fox terrier) that would love nothing better than to have them for lunch! So, we hang out on the PC table, or watch TV together. I cut up paper napkins and leave them available to clean up the oopsys.

I seriously need to update the pics, the baby is 2 months old now and her "bedroom" doesn't have a heat lamp anymore.

I have 5 indoor/outdoor chickens. 1 EE Rooster and 3 EE and an old Rock hen.
They come inside to roost at night and go out during the day unless the weather is terrible then they remain indoors.
I constantly clean my floors but other than that they are wonderful pets. Very intelligent and well trained birds. They take showers to stay clean and every time I open the fridge they are right there begging for treats. It helps to have laminate and hardwood flooring.
Every morning the rooster comes down the hallway to "shuffle" me out of bed so I can let them out and feed them. He also occasionally watches TV with me and loves to cuddle. In the evening as the sun goes down they hop up onto the deck and I let them in the sliding glass door to the kitchen and they go right in and hop onto their roost and go to sleep.

Hi guys! I was wondering- how often do you have to change the chicken diapers?
If it’s a once-a-day thing, I could easily do that, but if it’s a 4/5 times a day, I doubt I could handle the upkeep...
