    well we are right across from Canal Lake, but the wind comes across from the Cardin Plains or the other flat land around us. It gets mighty cold in the winter, though, I do appreciate it when the black flies are out.

    I just purchased a 2 lb container of dried meal worms to start training my guineas to come home. it is really expensive this way but not sure if I can get over my feelings about live ones

    yes thanks for responding, I picked up some today at co-op and cleaned out thorally then dusted every thing including chickens, and I also picked up some DE but not sure how to use it .. do I put it in the dirt or do I have to buy some sand or what?

    Do roosters cluck like hens?

    thats interesting because I found my rooster sitting on the nest making a very low growly noise when I moved him, he was sitting on someones egg....protective instinct kicking in? ever heard of this?
