well we are right across from Canal Lake, but the wind comes across from the Cardin Plains or the other flat land around us. It gets mighty cold in the winter, though, I do appreciate it when the black flies are out.

thats interesting because I found my rooster sitting on the nest making a very low growly noise when I moved him, he was sitting on someones egg....protective instinct kicking in? ever heard of this?
