well we are right across from Canal Lake, but the wind comes across from the Cardin Plains or the other flat land around us. It gets mighty cold in the winter, though, I do appreciate it when the black flies are out.

Does anyone know if ducks will start laying again after setting a batch of eggs unsuccessfully? I think the only way I will get babies is if I incubate them myself but seems like all three girls have quit laying now.

I just released my 6 week old mixed breed ducks (3) into an established large size pond and my mature ducks attacked them and the male is raping the girls.. is this normal behavior? or should I try to catch them and lock them up again? not sure what to do?
