When do Easter Eggers start laying?

I'm so sorry I just reposted and tried to reply a couple of times! Still trying to figure out how to navigate this site on my iPhone! I'm fairly new as well and I had no idea what squatting meant until one day when I got close to my EE she started "cowering" especially if I tried to pet her. I...

    Soft shell eggs

Hi there! I know you posted quite a long time ago but I'm having a soft egg problem with one of my six layers. Just curious about the vitamin D you gave. This coming spring I'll be adding 2 Cream Legbars. I free ranged them for a few months but then one was picked off by a hawk :( So we built...

    Scratch and Peck Feed

I've been feeding my flock Scratch & Peck for months now and love it! They all look so healthy. I'm a newbie so I have never heard of fermenting. I'm very excited to try it! If it's healthier and also stretches the feed it sounds like a win win! Thanks everyone!

    Hi from Long Island, NY!

Thank you for allowing me to become a member of BYC. Although I had chickens as a child (many moons ago lol) 8 months ago I decided to start raising chickens for the eggs and experience for my own children. I am so hooked now!!!!
