Thank you for your input CascadiaRiver and BantamLover21! Seems as though these little guys are definitely going to add color to my flock, if nothing else! :)
Hello everyone! I posted about these 9 little guys a few weeks ago, and the general response was that they were too young to tell much. So, I've waited (as patiently as I can) and they are now 4-5 weeks old and filling out nicely. They were just a mix that I got from tractor supply, they were...
I'm sorry for your loss, I know that even though she was a stray, she chose you and you did everything that you could for her. I have no doubts that she knew she was cared for in the end.
Hello from Oklahoma!
I remember how excited/nervous I was when I got my first chicks, and then how I went through withdraws when they moved to their outside coop... It's a great feeling knowing that something so fragile can thrive in your care.
Here's my mini silkie flock, Jareth and his two hens, Buckbeak and Fawkes. :) I have always called Jareth a splash, but it's come to my attention from other posts that he has a little of some other color in him as well. I think he's gorgeous!
I love looking at everyone else's fluffy chickens!
Thank you for the compliments and help in identifying his color, jenniferlamar70 and Janie hall! I got them all from a hatchery so there's no telling where the mix came from, but it's not going to stop me from loving him any. :)

I love all the colors that keep showing up on him as he gets older, he'll be a year April 6th. I got him as part of a "variety" pack of silkies that came with two blacks, two whites, a buff, and him... I don't know what color to call him if not splash, but I'm definitely open to...
So many beautiful silkies!!
Never one to miss a chance to show of my chickens....
Here's Jareth watching over Fawkes and Buckbeak (with Leia and Nibbler the goats, and Lady, Sam, and Love the dogs)...
And a close up of Jareth solo because he's so beautiful!

Thank you! I had wanted chickens forever and finally bought a mixed color box of silkies from a hatchery and wound up with 6 beautiful chicks that became 6 amazing chickens! As he's gotten older, his colors have really darkened up. It's hard to believe he used to be the little silver...
So many beautiful roos!
Here's my entry, Jareth will be a year old April 6th and is a splash silkie! Not a very sociable guy except with his hens, then he's their great protector always watching out for them, letting them eat first...he loves those girls. I love his little blue ear patches...
Thank you for the input! I'll post more pictures in a few weeks so everyone can see how they're changing.
And thank you! I love the assortment I was able to get, it'll be fun watching them grow up and finding out what they are. :)
Thank you! I'll post some more pictures in a couple of weeks when they're a little older. :) I think they'll add some great color and variety to my flock. What kind of chick is that in your avatar? It's adorable!
