I use my indoor Blink Mini Camera inside the coop. After puchasing and using them (I have others) for the 30 day trial then it's about $10/month for unlimited cameras. I can talk to my girls and actually saw a baby opossum in their coop at 3:00 this morning. Not good! Now I have to figure out...
New young ducklings have now grown enough to let them out of their fences area. The older male duck that has been on the property for a few years goes after them when they are out and pecks them to the point of injury. Now they are afraid to leave the pen. We're at a loss at what to do.
I want to thank everybody for all the information! An update on our duck: she's doing much better and is waddling back out to the lake with her mate. So cute!!! We're all so happy she's better!
Thanks again!

Does anyone know the dosage and what antibiotic to give the duck for how long? A wildlife guy came out but only gave her ointment. My daughter couldn’t drain her foot because it was too thick skinned. She’s been cleaning the area and it’s a little better. Just would like to clear the infection.
I don’t know how to a post for everybody but want thank all of you who replied to my post. I’ve never seen anything like this in a duck much less know the name of or how to try and treat it. So thank you, thank you!!
Yes they are and we’re very worried. The ducks are my 15 yr old grandson’s babies. He loves them so much. Are you able to read my previous reply to CoryM? I’m a little rusty on replying and posting lol. Anyway, thank you for your reply. I hope to have good news to share in a week or two!
Thank you. My daughter is an ARNP and has nursed injured and sick pets over the years. Most survive; occasionally one or two don’t make it but she’s such a caring person. She’ll do her best with this duck too. She took her lunch hour today and bought all the necessary dressings and medicine...
My daughter has 2 white ducks, male and female, about 2 years old. She noticed the feet on the female, managed to get her (they love her but don’t like being picked up), and took these pictures. They live on a spring fed lake. Does anyone know what this could be? She’s so worried about her.
Thank you. The feed store I bought her from also directed me to curled toes and how make "sandals" for her. I just hope it's not too late. She's not a newbie out of the shell but we're going to try anyway.
