    thank you for getting back to me. The chickens are separated from the Jack Russell, but the chicken is not doing well. Hopefully nature will take it course quickly and the chicken will die :((

    My Red Hen hatched one baby chick about 10 days ago. They both are in a large tupperware box when should i put the hen back and should i hang a mirror for the baby chicks so she is not alone?

    that's a great idea. Where I live in NY we are expecting a foot of snow tomorrow. I'm new to the chicken world what is broody. My hen just had her first egg hatch she is sitting on three more. The baby is under her and hasn't come out is it ok? I hear it chirping. I mama and baby and eggs...

    New Hampshire Red. Any day the chicks should be hatching and it is 16 degrees at night when do I remove the chicks to a heated area? Immediately? and do I bring Mom to?

    Thanks for the reply. I think I will take the chicks after they are born and bring them up to their pen that has the heat lamp. One more question :) since I'm new at having Eggs hatch at home..once they are hatched the other birds won't bother them will they? I might be at work when they arrive

    Hi what is OSB? Getting ideas for our new arrival. After chicks hatch can u separate them from mom. She is outside in the cold in a coop with other hens. I want to bring the babies up to my house and keep them warm with a lamp.
