i am a bit confused on what is going on in my coop. 3 broody hens, only one hatched peep. The peep has an eye injury and both 2 hens seem very aggressive towards it. Is it b/c they are setting on eggs and think it is a threat or is it b/c of the eye injury? The way they treated the poor...

So this is a long story that i will try to make short. About 3 months ago we had a GL wynadot go broody. First set of eggs, no chicks, threw them all out. She started a new batch. Then 2 more hens decided they wanted to do it too! So, now i have 3 seperate boxes started at all different...

Well i have made a decision. If she has not passed by morning, I am going to have my husband take care of it in the morning. As far as i can gather this is a cronic problem. If i cant cure her, my belief is to relieve her suffering. I will do anything in my power to help a creature of god...

ok so i am starting to calm down and think. what you all are saying is starting to make sense. I have her in a warm water bath and she seems to be liking it.....but she is very lathargic and hard to tell anything. I dont feel anything hard. Her whole underneath is very squishy ...like there...
