We live in Florida with many predators above, below ground and in the nearby creek. Our daughter has a chicken truck to move around for them to forage in fresh ground. I'm going to try that, but also have a permanent coop to move them to for security. We are in Ohio now and will be in Florida...

My daughter built one that sits on the ground so the chickens can forage. It has wheels at the back and handle in the front for moving when it is tipped up. It's secured on the bottom with wire to discourage predators. I'm going to build one when I get my peeps in Florida, called a chicken...
