After looking at some pics of ckns moltng here on backyard ckns I have realized she is molting. Its been a long time since she has layed an egg too. Im thinking maybe she is just a heavier ckn. Thank you for your reply.
Can anyone tell me what their opinion could be on why one of my hens is losing her feathers down to the skin. She also feels really heavier than the other two. She has been wormed and treated for mites even though i didnt see any.
I live i ga so i just went and put my three girls outside. I closed the door to the inside coop but left the outside door open so if they get scared they have a place to run to. Im hoping getting them outside with fresh air will get rid of this broody behavior.
I have 3 hens and 1 is sitting in her egg laying box all the time but she isnt laying. My other two arent laying either. When i pick her up snd make her get out of box she is puffed out real big and then jumps back in the laying box. Is this normal behavior?

Have 3 hens. I had 2 roosters but i gave them away. The older one was very beautiful but so aggressive. He attacked me several times. Now im an all girl coop.
