    How long are eggs safe if sitting out?

    Thank you all so much! We did the float test and only 1 stood on one end, and it was the duck egg, so we couldn't tell which end was thick or not, so we just threw it away. We're so happy, p til now, we only get 1 or 2 eggs every few days, looks like my younger ones are laying now too!

    LOL I have heard the exact opposite in regards to RIR and BR roos personalities! it's so funny... but we're first timers, so I gues we'll see... so far so good, no pecking, and the three chickens come up to the side of the fence you are one when you just walk out there, and they all cuddle...

    Thanks new2chooks I just posted pics of the EE and ducks to show off... pretty sure they are all girls, our big one, Katie, her head is dark but has remained the same, but we'll see, the ducks are only slightly older then the chicks, about 12 weeks TrystInn... I'd love it if Mocho was a girl...
