We'll have 12 chickens in total. If two of them are Cockerels then we'll have 6-10 eggs a day which'll be enough for me, my wife and 6 kids. :) Plus we will always make more chicks too! :)

We currently have brown, light brown, speckled brown, blue eggs and these will also add white and green to the mix. Wonder what other colour eggs you can get. Could we have a box of rainbow eggs? :)
We're on day 23 of our clutch of 5 hatching eggs (under a broody hen) 1st time for us. I think I'm going to remove the broody hen and float test the eggs.

As the title suggests my broody hen has started shivering. It's her (and our) first clutch of eggs. Should we be worried? Is this normal? Any advice would be most welcome.
