I have 5 Lavender Marans. They were sold to me as project birds. I'm not complaining though. They are about 5 or 6 weeks old. I will be keeping the girls and re homing the boys. Not sure who is who yet. I have 1 that has no tail. LOL It's kinda funny looking.

No worries! I have other young ones. ;-) She will not be lonely.

That's them! I can't wait to find out. Ya, a couple more weeks and i should be able to tell for sure. Sad because I will have to get rid of the boys. :-(

I know they are but in my new home I can't have roos....I used to have 30 or so chickens till I moved into our new home. One of my favorites was a silkie roo. Had 10 or so roosters and I miss them all.

My 3 blue wheatens are a week old tomorrow. 1 has it's little tail feathers coming in and the other 2 don't. Could this mean a difference between girls and boys?

I have had mixed responses on my bird. What do you all think? Girl or boy? She is about 9 weeks old.
