Coop and Run for Turkey and Chicken

Fair enough can’t afford to lose the chickens, if I get them I’ll free range them. Other than that no deal. Thanks for the info

Coop and Run for Turkey and Chicken

I just like to watch the different kind of birds and have the occasional different egg, I’d only be keeping the hens for pets basically.

Coop and Run for Turkey and Chicken

Have you ever tried keeping them in the same coop? They are on a trailer so they have about 16x8 space under their house in the winter that they like to use.

Coop and Run for Turkey and Chicken

Even with only hens? I know they’re tall but are they super heavy too? I’d hate for one to jump off the roost and crush a chicken

Coop and Run for Turkey and Chicken

What do you think would be an adequate space for a dozen chickens and 2 hen turkeys? Also do you keep them together and how has it gone, thank you.

Not really sure about the black heads and I was planning on only keeping the hens

Coop and Run for Turkey and Chicken

We have about 10 chickens in an 8x8 coop right now and would like to add 2 turkeys to the mix. Is that a big enough coop? Also the run will be about 40x48. We also have 2 geese and 4 ducks that share the run but have their own house. But the ducks and geese get let out in the goat pen when there...

    Chicks in brooder

Oh I was under the impression that they could stay in there for 4-8. The coop is semi ready, it needs more modifications. No power, from what I’ve read it isn’t safe to heat them at least with a heat lamp or something.

    Chicks in brooder

I have a Rhode Island Red chick and a Golden Comet chick in a 6 sq ft tote brooder, about 20in tall with a screen lid. How long should I, or could I, keep them in there?
