Update - Parsley passed this morning. Trying to assess if it was Gapeworm and if I should be treating the others. Is there a downside to treating them without knowing if they have them?
Thank you for a response. I did as best I could - I don’t see anything. She made it through the night - still breathing very heavy. I did get her to eat some yogurt last night. No noise out of her while she is breathing- she is occasionally and rarely making a random squauk/cough.
Just coming in on this now, many years later I know. I've been having reoccurring issue -- curious as to who your NJ Avian Specialist was / where they were from? I'm in Monmouth County.
Update:
Poop test came back negative.

Thank you for your response. He felt something soft - could not tell if it was a soft shell or not. After her crop cleared, I was hoping she passed it but I don't know.

First time chicken owner here and have had a pretty easy go of it. Lots of reading and trial and error - my 4 girls have been happy and healthy! All started laying at right about when they should and have been consistent up until recently.
It began when I noticed 'water poop' in the coop - and...
Thanks. She calmed down later that day but has been quite chatty with me. No egg yet this AM :-( She loves to go in the nesting box and pull out all the hay! If I get another egg I will put in the box. Seems I have had such an easy time with them thus far they have done just about everything...
