Update: so he has started trying to walk today and when I was down there hand feeding him breakfast he was mainly standing. I think he is getting better for the most part (minus his wings). He is still walking really wobbly and has yet to yell for the morning. I fed him a mix of water supplement...
I put them in their new coop today, new bedding and it is outside so no more mold. I am going to clean out them old one and add new bedding, water bowls, feeders, and etc. for the rooster to have a quarantine area instead of being with the hens.
Yes, same containers, and everything. I am thinking another thing it could have came from was the straw I used? It had a lot of dirt in it and they often spilled water in it. So maybe there was mold for too long in it? I honestly am stumped onto what could have happened. I only recently had to...
I’m starting to think the person my sister ordered the eggs from could of done that exact thing. I am trying to think of a major switch that could have made him get Ill like that. My sister has the other half of the eggs and her chickens are healthy as can be. (Happy, no sickness, etc) and some...
i don’t think I have the specific feed part I was references (because I threw it away due to the fact it had like dust? Stuff? On it) I might have been over analyzing it,, I hope it wasnt molded or anything :(
We had this chick feed, but i thought it would be WAY a too nutritionless per say And it was starting to look grey and dull to me. I had to force my brother to drive me to the local place to buy them legit full grown chicken food. And then I would sprinkle in mealworms to their food sometimes.
Thank you for all the help! I’ll make sure to check them out to see how to if it comes to that. I’ll make sure to put updates on how he is acting in the morning and after that. Hoping he gets better because I’ve rlly built a friendship w him :(
I only bought the new feed yesterday or so, do you think he might still have a chance of deficiency? I hand fed him electrolyte/sugar/vitamin water mix with his mushed new feed to try and help him today.
Thank you for helping me, do you know of ways to humanity be able to let him go? I am going to give him two more days atleast, incase it is something I have missed. I thought he was getting better a few days back because he was standing, and stuff but I might have thought wrong .
I think so too, I’be only starting giving him a lot of vitamins that he hasn’t had before recently. So I am hoping it might be just that. You might be right though :(
I hope it isn’t a virus, all of this happened super suddenly and I’m extremely worried about him not making it, Starting tomorrow, I will moniter his weight. Do you think that might help?
