09/20/2014 - 09/21/2014: Working on the fence and underground predator protection
Well, heres my weekend update for everyone. We did alot of work this weekend on the area the pen will be going into. its a 25ft X 31ft area that is branched off our dog pen behind our existing chicken pens...
i havent decided. i calculated my materials to account for one, also i could put gussets in the top and bottom corners. at the moment the doors seem very strong as is. i may add them strictly for overkill and looks.

09/14/2014: Slow day, finished up burying the fence posts, and also got 1 door finished, i built the 2nd door but after tack welding the same hinge on wrong 3 times in a row i decided it was time to call it a day.

I kinda like this idea. How much do you interevene into there lives? Are they 100% free range? Mine free range for between 4-12 hrs/day and ive concidered turning about 20 loose into the yard and let them figure it out. Maybe a deer feeder or 2 with feed in it.
Im curious of yalls intentions. Are you hatching for personal or to sell? The market for chicks around here basicly stops in early/mid october and doesnt pick up until feb/march.
