We had a drake and a hen who were together since they were tiny. Our drake sadly passed away so we got a drake who is about half a year old. We have been trying to slowly introduce them but our hen isn’t having it. Things have gotten better (the first day she lunged and bit him) but we are at...
They are typically confined...will this negatively impact the experience? My drake is very territorial. When a human goes in his pen to clean it or anything he gets upset 😂
Currently I have one Muscovy drake and one Muscovy hen. It has been this way for the last 2 years. However, I would like to add another adult hen to the flock because my current hen’s feathers have seen better days because my drake is always standing on her. I am concerned that my current ducks...
My Muscovy drake did a poop that was accompanied by a very loud fart today. Not only did this happen once, he did it twice while standing in the same spot. Ten minutes later the same thing happened again two more times while swimming. Does he have digestive issues?

For the last couple of days my Muscovy Drake has been losing feathers like crazy. What concerns me is that between yesterday and today he has lost like 8-10 BIG feathers (not the little ones). I’ll attach a picture. Is this normal? He had angel wing on one side that was made up of big white...
Whenever we go to clean the duck pen our Muscovy drake flips out. He follows us into the pen and out of the pen very quickly and will charge/lunge at us and bite, especially while in the pen. Anyone else have a Muscovy like this? Why is he defending his pen like this?
She has been making a “broody chirp” noise a lot lately. However, she usually lays one egg a day and we remove it from her bowl when she is outside. Would she still go broody without any eggs?
Two days ago we noticed our Muscovy hen was acting different than she normally does and she has been the same way since. She is much more quieter than usual. When we open the door to let her out of the house, she stays inside. When we open the door to let her outside to forage (something she...
