    Nest Box Liners

Hi Tiggersmom, We've been using the plastic liners and completely love them. They are so easy to keep clean. This coop is great too, but I am not sure how well it will do through an Ohio winter. I believe we are going to look for something a little less drafty. Thanks so much for the...

Hello Again, BYC Friends! A quick question about heating the coop... My little chickies have been outside in their coop for over a week now - We purchased them about three weeks ago, so guessing that they are between 3-4 weeks old. It has been unseasonably warm here for May, so far - but...

    Nest Box Liners

New Coop - any suggestions or thoughts

Hi Big Red, I had to laugh at your reply! My husband's official title is the "King of the Jerry Rig" (no offence intended to those named Jerry ). He appreciated the reply, and I got a little jab from Dave - He says - "See honey, not everything I do is "rigged"" Thanks!! Traci

New Coop - any suggestions or thoughts

yolksonus, Thanks so much! We truly appreciate the input! Yes, that is a poop tray. We have 6 little pullets (we hope ). We bought "Assorted Layer" pullets from TSC. It is semi-permanent - meaning that it does have wheels enabling it to be moved; however it does have a bottom frame that...

    Another Newbie

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! Just purchased the Spring Book Special "Raising Chickens for Dummies". :) Can't wait to get started reading. Not quite sure of the extra benefits of a Goldwing membership, but I am sure I'll figure it out (with a little help from the group). We have had...

Help with breed and maybe age?

Thank you, both! And thanks for the approximate age. I have had them for 1 week and was told they were two weeks old when I purchased them. After looking at some pictures I was not convinced they were two weeks last week. Thank you for the affirmation that they are younger. Will research both...
