    Getting closer... All Hoover Black Sexlinks are laying (6/6) One of the Buff Orpingtons (1/14) When it got real hot last week I was down to a couple a day, but the cooler weather has got them back on task!

    3 of 6 Hoover Black Sexlinks are laying 0 of 14 Buff Orpingtons laying All are 18 weeks. The eggs are somewhat small, but hard boiled, they taste really good with really deep yellow yokes.

    First of all - she is very cute! I just love little ducklings! If she were mine, I start pushing the Niacin. One of my ducks was borderline splayed legs and I started adding Niacin to her water (about 500 mg/gallon) from a bulk source on Amazon (very cheap). Read on here that it was good for...

    I'm sure everyone is going to ask for pictures of the leg and the area on the back. I am new to ducks, so can't help much. Have you tried moving the bad leg?

    Oh yeah, forgot to say when they were hatched. Not exactly sure but we got them from local Rural King store on 4/3, so they were very early April or maybe even late March(?).

    I'm in with 17 Buff Orpingtons and 11 Hoover's Black Sexlinks. Probably not any chance I get all of them to lay first, but with so many, I probably have a good chance of the first egg.

    Here are the little Baniies! They are soooo tiny! Been cleaning up a lot of pasty butt. I've got a routine now where I run them under a stream of warm water in the basement sink faucet until it's all gone, then I use my wife's blow dryer to dry them up (it also makes them extra fluffy!)...
