    My EE is doing the exact same thing--about 5 months old--none of my other breeds are...I have not changed food. Only thing is their schedule has been changed because I have been very ill and the rain that has been going on for the east coast--has not allowed me to let them into their "big" run...

    I think your fine---basically they say about 16 weeks--so I think you are fine..I have found that has been about true. There has not been a true set rule. You should be fine..I mean we all have a few girls--give or take a few---But start layer now and also oyster shell on own self--they should...

    It should be fine--just don't let them eat the plant/green parts--that is toxic to them...

    Sorry about the problem--just make sure you really want the substitute...if not wait for next hatch of the breed you want...I know it's hard..but if you need to wait...your chicks should be fine as long as they do not put them out in full sunshine. Hopefully post office will keep until u get...
