    The comb is still yellow and there are no wattles to speak of yet. And her feet seem long and slender. This is my first chick, so I have no idea what normal development is. Everything I read seems very contradictory. Muy frustrado!

    Introducing a new chick

    Thank you! Pretty much what I thought. I have "Bettie" in a large tote so I think I will try a divider and see how that works and only put them together when I can oversee them. I'm hoping she's lonely enough to embrace the baby! LOL.

    Hi, I'm new to raising chickens and at this moment I have one 3 wk old Buff Orpington chick. Next week I'm getting a Black Australorp chick. Can I put the day old in the same brooder as the soon to be month old chick?
