I have slowly introduced ducklings I incubated to our older girls and one seems to (what we first thought might have been trying to sit on them) but now we are convinced it’s aggressive behavior. Almost seems like she’s running over our ducklings.
what could it be?
My baby is about a day and a half old now. I’ve noticed from the start that he had serious balance issues and I am currently doing the bandaid leg split thing. But his webbed feet are also not laying flat so I have flattened them with tape and leaving them that way overnight. He also isn’t...
I did end up moving him into a smaller container so the heat lamp could be closer and syringe feed him some feed mixed with water and he’s doing much better 🥰
One of my duckling hatched last night and was moved to the brooder a few hours ago. I only moved him because he was all over the place in our incubator and he looked uncomfortable. He was completely dry before I moved him. The temp in the brooder is at 98, but he has not attempted to eat or...

Also, this is the first time we’ve ever had a raccoon stop by. We are thinking of using that large un-used kennel and turning it into a new pen while using the chicken wire from their fence and house as an added deterrent.
Hey y’all!
My Cayuga’s first clutch is now up to 16 eggs!! Every time I think she’s going to start the incubation period she eventually gets up and leaves for hours lol I’m letting nature handle this situation and hopeful that my girls motherly instincts kick in.
I finally caught her laying an...
She actually is still doing what she would normally do! She goes to her pool and she walks around with her siblings. She drinks water. But she only does the panting thing when she’s laying on her eggs! I also counted 16 today and got her on camera laying one last night 🤩
Wondering if I should be worried! Our girl has recently started to go “brood” or “broody”. Total egg count is 14! Anyways every time she’s laying on them she pants like a dog and once we even saw her just laying on her side and didn’t move much when we cleaned out her water. Is this normal...
