UPDATE: WAHOO!!! I was called early this morning by the woman who has the incubator that Olive's eggs were in and two have hatched and one more is working on joining the world right now!! My little miracle babies!! What a happy day!!! Olive would be to happy. She was such a good Mama Duck :)

thanks for the reply, however, due to the two rotten eggs geting the boot the place all ready has a bit of an off sent... And does anyone know where the egg shells go when they hatch? does she do something with them?

she gets super upset every time I get close, and she has not left the nest (that i have noticed at least) since the first two hatched.... Should I leave her alone or shoo her off and candle?

Olive is a runner duck, and from what I gather the fact that she is broody is very uncommon. Around 30 days ago she began to sit on her clutch. I did the candle test about a week ago and compared the egg to an online example, it seemed it was right on track. There were 17 eggs until three days...
