    Easiest Way?

I just saw your post in the Texas Forum for your yahoo site and I will check it out. I just wanted to add that you will also see a little black dot beside any post you have replied in. It's handy just in case you forget to subscribe to something.

    Carpenter Ants- LONG Post/Rant...

Does Borax not contain boric acid? Hmmm... okay if the borax is not right I will go to the drug store and get boric acid. Whatever will kill them. 56bee believe me, if the boric acid doesn't work I will be calling an exterminator. I know those ants can be as bad as termites and I certainly...

    Carpenter Ants- LONG Post/Rant...

The yard behind us has a tree that fell more than a month ago that has never been cleaned up. I am wondering if that is home base and they are coming to my place because of it. We do have leaky gutters though so that could be it too. In fact DH made the comment that they seemed to be going to...

    Carpenter Ants- LONG Post/Rant...

Wow thanks for the fast reply! I think I actually have a box of Borax in the garage so I will have DH try that asap! We are expecting rain for the first time in 2 weeks tonight so I will wait for that to pass before I send him up there with it. I sure hope it works!

    Carpenter Ants- LONG Post/Rant...

Earlier this spring I noticed some carpenter ants coming in one of our bedroom windows. I tried DE and eventually resorted to spraying with Ortho Home Defense to keep them out of the house. I have not seen anymore in the house since then. Now, the pool is up and in full use for the summer...

Update: SHE WON! (was: Oh No!! Olivia is losing ground FAST!)

Alright Olivia! Congrat's on the win! You did deserve it for sure. I agree with so many others that chickens or no chickens your video was the most well put together and informative of the bunch. Enjoy all your new books!

What does everyone do with their chickens feathers??

My little one faithfully picks up every feather she finds. We have a big zipper bag we are keeping them in. She wants to make a pillow out of them. I think it's cute. We only have 5 chickens and they are not meat birds so it will be a darn long time before we have enough feathers for a pillow...

What happened to the teacup smiley?

Hmmm.... there sure is alot of these little guys.... 4 different smileys with their tongue stuck out! Poor little civilized teapot just couldn't make it here in the cyber world of Nah-Nah-A-Boo-Boo. Bless her little heart.

Update: SHE WON! (was: Oh No!! Olivia is losing ground FAST!)

When I voted this morning right before coming to this post, Olivia was ahead by 406 votes and 2%. I honestly think I am more excited to see the results of this contest than I am about the democratic race! GO OLIVIA!!!!

Update: SHE WON! (was: Oh No!! Olivia is losing ground FAST!)

I just now saw this thread and I voted. Since we are down to the last couple of days do you suppose the mods could post a "VOTE FOR OLIVIA" Post at the top of the page like they sometimes do for other stuff? Ya know, when we hit so many members, new stuff in the BYC store, etc. That way, maybe...

Wow! That was a great find! If the coupons were just there for the taking and good for a month or more maybe you should go back and get one to keep for next time.

BYC Needs Brainstorming HELP: Forum / Category / Section Ideas

I definitely think a forum or at least "Newbies Start Here" area of stickies would be great. There are so many questions that get repeated over and over and while folks who have been here for awhile are so awesome to help, I think a basic temp rundown, med vrs non med feed and when to switch...

Light in the Coop at Night??

When my girls moved to the coop, they got a night light for awhile. Actually, they had never spent a night in the dark so when it was time for the red heatlight to go off I replaced it with a 25 watt red bulb. I think they still associated the light with heat though even though the red bulb was...
