update on Aria- i’m very very confused. she is a HUGE girl. like 10lbs and her legs are thick! i’m unsure if she’s a meat chicken or just a big juicy white leghorn (help?) but she has laid 3 eggs within the last four days!!! and they are big eggs!!
the last couple months with Aria has been such a journey but she has come so far!!! from barely being able to walk to walking fast as she follows me everywhere i go. she loves to sleep in my lap & is so talkative when we are together. i love this girl!!! my sweet warrior!!
as this is my first winter with my flock (5 hens & 2 ducks) i am looking to figure out how to store a large amount water in their run, without it freezing. i have purchased a 3 gallon heated watering can (plastic) but they are going through almost 2 refills a day. any tips??

i’d start with a super warm wash cloth on her eyes. maybe a warm bath to help to help loosen up any back up inside. i just recently took in a recuse chicken and she loved the bath. i took a storage tub with a lid, cut a hole in the top and duct taped a rag around the hole for comfort. a cooked...
