    Call duck Backwards in egg!!

It’s ok, baby unfortunately didn’t make it. I tried all I could but I just didn’t have enough knowledge on how to deal with this problem. Maybe I will have a better chance next time!

    Call duck Backwards in egg!!

As you can tell by the photo I can see the yolk sac, but no head or anything. It’s day 27 right now. I’m so concerned about him getting air. I’m ready to just make a hole at the top of the egg!

    Call duck Backwards in egg!!

I was assisting my baby calls to hatch today, one has made it out already and the other I have progressed with. But upon further inspection on the third egg I see after opening up the air pocket, what looks to be the egg sac! I am so confused at what to do! If this baby is backwards how am I...

    Call Duckling Keeps Itching

I let him swim in warm water this morning, he kept itching the whole time. But maybe that helped. He doesn’t do it while I hold him. Only when I have him out of the brooder. The naval looks very good to me

I’ve never examined a ducklings ears before, it was quite interesting lol As far as I can tell they look clear and very good.

No, I had not used the antibiotic ointment on him because I didn’t have any on hand at the time, If this is truly being caused by a “bacterial or yeast” then how can I treat him for that?

    Call Duckling Keeps Itching

He is exactly 6 days old, I feed him duck starter mixed with all flock starter (because it’s smaller) I usually have to grind the food up for him so he can eat it, because it’s too big. Yes he has an unlimited amount of water, and he can definitely submerge his head depending on the water level...

    Call Duck Hatching

Alright everyone! Meet Popcorn! The guy I ordered the eggs from said he had snowy, buff, and silver call ducks. Any guess on what color it may be?

    Call Duck Hatching

Ok, baby is out! But the part where his yolk sac was is a bit swollen looking. Should I do anything for it?

    Call Duck Hatching

I started pushing the membrane back slowly and no bleeding at all, so I’m very confident he’s ready. I’ll peel back more shell like you said and let the baby push its way out! If he hasn’t pushed out in a couple hrs I’ll proceed further. I probably need to get some sugar water ready for when he...
