I am no expert either- but I have 3 silkies, 2 male and 1 female. One of my males is a bearded white silkie- smaller waddles and a nice red walnut- the other male is a black non bearded and has huge red wattles and a matching red comb. The female is also black non bearded and has smaller red...
I came home today to find that one of my 3 week old chicks is having a hard time walking and is shaking her head and sneezing. no mucus or anything coming out.. what do I do? anyone ever heard of this?
Her crop is Ok- not terribly full but not flat and empty. I have been calling around to the local vets and so far they can all see her tomorrow- but the trip there could stress her and make it worse, on top of that most of them have no experience.
I have a Faverolle hen that seems fine except for her chirping/wheezing/labored type breathing. She is eating/drinking so far. She has just today been shaking her head a bit. She is about 2-2 1/2 YO. We are in FL so the heat and humidity are very high. We have given her 2-3 drops of Ivermectin...

I am looking for frizzle chicks or eggs. I would also love BLR Wyandotte, D'uccle, Brahma chicks or eggs. I live in Florida, near Tampa Bay. I only need 1 or 2 of each breed though.
Thanks.

she does get crushed oyster shell as free choice. The egg yolk and white have been out. See I went to make sure they were all in bed- she was in the nest box- I found the yolk and egg white in the box- it looked as though someone had cracked open a perfectly good egg. I helped her to the roost...
It is definitely a soft shell that is sticking out. We got the lubricant as much as we could around the shell- but we are afraid to pull to much and hurt her. My hubby said that you can feel her vent muscles (whatever its called) contracting not enabling him to pull the egg out more without...
I am new to posting on here, but I need help as soon as I can get it. My silkie hen (Pepper)has a soft egg (just the shell) sticking half in her vent and half out. She is about 18 mos old. We have soaked her in a warm bath, put vaseline and prep H around the vent, and now have her in a small...
