That’s a good idea. I think my ducks are defective. Lol They were at least laying their eggs in “safer” spots out of the wind. The last two nights have been the coldest yet, in the high teens and now they are laying their eggs in the open in the only spot that has no wind bloke shelter let...
Ok, you’ve helped me worry a little less. I know ducks are hardier but I still think of them like they use to say about dogs and cats where “if you’re cold, they’re cold, bring them inside”. 😂😂
Well I couldn’t have asked for advice from anyone better than someone who knows the winters we deal with. 😂🤚🏻
I’m hoping that they are just not cold “enough” at this point and that’s why they’re not using it more. I just don’t understand them half the time. Lol

Ok ya’ll, I need help. My 5 khaki campbells have me worried. This is my first winter with them. They have a coop and an attached run. Everything has a layer of straw. The coop is big enough for them to lay together but not big enough to shut them up in overnight. Their run is tarped on one end...
So I just noticed that one of my drakes’ beak is peeling majorly! I honestly thought it was cracked at first but after closer examination it looks like it’s peeling. I have read that this can be normal and then I read somewhere else it can be an infection and should have anti fungal cream put on...
I have 5 Khaki Campbell babies. They are approximately 5 weeks and they have quite a few tail feathers but still have a ton of down. Right now they are in a stock tank in my bedroom without a heat lamp as they were crowding away from it. They have been outside in their coop during sunny days but...
I am a proud new mom of 5 Khaki Campbell babies. They were hatched approximately on Valentine’s Day and they have been with me since March 3rd. Very excited to get some advice from the experts.
