    We are in the middle of Indiana. In the last few years we have seen -6 to -12 at times in cold snaps. Hasn’t been that bad the last couple of years but it has that potential.     I have added more tarp, more straw and the bales of straw around the back half since the colored pics were taken. The coop is plenty big for the 5 of them to walk and lay down, it’s just not a huge coop.

    So I just noticed that one of my drakes’ beak is peeling majorly! I honestly thought it was cracked at first but after closer examination it looks like it’s peeling. I have read that this can be normal and then I read somewhere else it can be an infection and should have anti fungal cream put on...

    I am a proud new mom of 5 Khaki Campbell babies. They were hatched approximately on Valentine’s Day and they have been with me since March 3rd. Very excited to get some advice from the experts.
