What are your coldest Temps for the season?
I see that the coop is large enough for them to all fit but I wondered if they were avoiding using it because they're too crowded and might pick on each other a bit.
I'm wondering about the lowest Temps because, if they're not too low, your set up would probably be all right with deep bedding and the wind breaks you mentioned you added.
We are in the middle of Indiana. In the last few years we have seen -6 to -12 at times in cold snaps. Hasnāt been that bad the last couple of years but it has that potential. Typically in the teens. I keep thinking of things as we post back and forth, so the additional āoddā thing about the coop is that they all laid in it this summer to escape direct sunlight that would hit the run for a couple of hours mid day during the summer. So why not now? What are your coldest Temps for the season?
