    So I started with 12 on Tuesday. I have 6 on the way to me as I type (gotta love your dad out running errands!). This could get ugly fast. I already had planned on 2-4 more next week. Hubby is gonna kill me.

    HELP! Need help telling the difference between Buff Orpington chicks and Red Ranger chicks...Tracto

    I am totally new to this so take my thoughts with a grain of salt but the buff orpingtons I purchased yesterday are the yellowist little balls of fur imaginable. They are like lemony yellow. Do the red rangers have markings more so than the BOs?

    I'm looking for Wyandottes, Australorps, Orpingtons, Rhode Island Reds, possibly Barred Rocks. I want some good layers. Plus all of these seem like they would handle our climate well.
