we're hatching goose eggs for the first time. We were told to let them cool down once a day for a few minutes and mist them with water. So far so good, but we haven't made it to the end yet.
I don't miss the heat and humidity for anything. 60s as a low is nice weather for down there! Still too warm for me! Third generation Houstonian and I never learned to like it there.

My daughter has had several silkies eggs in the incubator, they started hatching this afternoon! Two out so far! Hatching eggs.....another addiction.
We have goats, ducks, geese, and chickens. I have though about pigs, but I don't love them. Lol! We have buffs, barred rocks, welsummers, and speckled sussex. I adore my chickens!
