    It sounds like it could be an injury, but based on your description (limping with no apparent injury, 3 mos old) it could very well be Marek. Keep an eye on her.     I agree with the people who are saying that this is probably some sort of toxin. That is the most likely based on the symptoms you're describing. That said, I would not completely rule out Marek's. Since Marek's hits the nervous system, I personally believe that it could cause convulsions...

    Marek's cannot be passed to the chick inside the egg. The chick must come into contact with infected dander after hatching.

    You are right! I regret not keeping a better research log so that I could cite my sources--and I understand that the article is less useful without those. I'll certainly try to do better about that in the future, although for this article I think it's too late to salvage.

    What color is this?

    I agree, it looks more like a chick than a keet, I almost said the same. Although there are some pictures floating around on Google that show "keets" that look very similar to the one pictured above, I have not seen any with a distinctive white line like this one.

    I call babies that look like that "chipmunk." It will probably change significantly in color before it gets its adult plumage.
