Gwinnett county georgia possibly allowing chickens!

Revisions passed. http://www.gwinnettdailypost.com/news/2015/jul/21/divided-commission-oks-chicken-ownership-in/ . The article fails to list that in excess of 2.99 acres there is no limit, and changes do not affect Agricultural zoned properties where roosters are still allowed. The change...

    Pasturing on bermuda

Any of you ever pastured chickens on bermuda? Not sure if that is a good grass for them or not. Certainly attracts a lot of grasshoppers, etc. Any input will be appreciated.

    Setting Leghorn

Mine won't budge and isn't laying any more. Just great. You buy leghorns for layers and they want to go broody. LOL Oh well, will head over to a buddy's tomorrow to rip off some fertile eggs to stick under her along with the three Buff Orpingtons and one Buff Orpington/Black Australorp...

    Reduce feed cost ideas

I've tried planting stuff in chicken runs for years with no success. Just not enough space to keep them from scratching it all up. Best thing I've found to cut feed costs is ground up left-over biscuits from local restaurants!

    Feeding Schedule

Do you guys keep your birds on a strict feeding regiment---same time every day. A buddy and I are keeping an egg laying flock and he was aggravating me today about keeping the birds on a strict schedule. He's raised dogs before and that's how he did with them. I've raised chickens for 35...
