    It's so hot right now I feel bad keeping them in the coop. Like upper 90s+. I can try I suppose. We don't give them oyster shell, I'll pick some up. Thanks!

    First Egg!

    We got our first eggs 3 days a go. Then we got one egg the next day, yesterday we got nothing... We have 8 hens. Once they start laying they don't keep laying?? When do they become consistent?

    We are new to chickens and suddenly having a pink eye out break in our house. Coincidence? Quite possibly but I wanted to see if anyone else has noticed a connection between chickens and pink eye? 8/

    Just brought home some 1 week old chicks. I have the set up in a large storage tote with a wood chip floor, food in the feeder, water in the waterer, a little roosting stick, heat lamp. Did I get it all? Anything I'm over looking?
