Good to know - thanks! I feel a little bad that I have giving them such low protein - although they go out most days and eat whatever they find in the woods/yard (including, horrifically, small toads) and also get canned fish 1x a week and bsf daily.

Hi again - my hen still has sour or impacted crop. She still eats And drinks but constantly or almost constantly twists her neck around. I got some copper sulfate — my question is if I put this in the water is it ok for my other 5 healthy hens to drink it too?
It seems to have gone down somewhat but not all the way - it feels squishy and she is vomiting. I didnt know that about the garlic so I will stop. Do you think adding molasses to the water would be useful? is that ok for my other 5 hens to drink too?
My hen Sweetie has sour crop. I have tried giving yogurt (unpasteur), garlic, ACV, and causing her to vomit. She is not getting any better - this mroning I actually saw her vomit just while scratching around so maybe even worse. I have to go for a work trip for 1 week so I need to help her asap...
