    I've grown potatoes in this tub for 2 years now with no problems. I added new garden soil because I'd lost a lot due to runoff and compaction... Since I use the same garden soil in multiple beds with no problem, I don't think this is the culprit. Could fusarium or verticullum be transferred...

    This is inside my hoop house so hover flies won't be able to get in there... I have a healthy population of spiders but still not enough to resolve the avalanche of aphids...

    Aphids... Ugh. I hate them so much. They easily get through my insect netting and multiply to problem levels in the blink of an eye. I just sprayed for aphids a couple of days ago... And already. :barnie

    Our grandparents were far more adaptable than current generations. Even me... Gen X. I've had to remind myself more than once that I don't (usually) need a specialized tool to do something. I just need to FITFO (figure it the F out). 😂 Get creative and keep trying if it doesn't work.

    One of my neighbors, who came to buy eggs this morning, brought me a nice beefsteak tomato plant and bell pepper start. 🤩 He also was going to give me a cucumber start but I told him I have nowhere to put it... So instead he's just going to bring me some cukes when they are ready. *cha-ching*
