    Yes her hock is swollen. It looks like other photos of slipped tendons I researched.

    I don't think she suffered an injury. That's what makes me think it's a slipped tendon. Attached is a picture.

    Hi All, I have a chick that was walking fine and normal. One evening I got home from work (a couple days ago) and noticed that chick wasn't putting weight on that leg. Research is telling me, it is a slipped tendon. What do I do??????? How do I fix this? Any help is appreciated!

    It is 21ish days to hatch chickens. Usually around 24 days, they aren't going to hatch.

    Yes. I've gone back and forth with the breeder on ideas on what happened the first time as we both were trying to figure out what happened.

    Well after the first fail of hatching (only 5 out of 24), I decided to try again! Fingers crossed for a successful hatch. I am going to run my humidity on the lower end and my temperature at 99.5. Day 1....here we go!

    They were pretty far in. When I candled at lockdown, they were alive and moving.

    Yes. I just went through this with my batch of eggs. 7 days past, no pips, no movement so I got rid of them. Mine died somewhere after day 18.

    Well I called it today. No other hatched. I got home from work and I have 1 chick that is not going to make it. I don't know what I did wrong. Kinda feeling like a failure here. I want to get another batch of eggs and try again, but I don't know what I did wrong.

    I am guessing we are on 23 or 24 since I ended up putting them in right away instead of letting them sit for a day or 2. I have 11 left that haven't hatched.
