I have a 2 week old baby Serama that I hatched out of an incubator. He is still in the house in a brooder, never been around any other chickens or outside. Can he have mites? How do they get mites if they aren’t outside or exposed to other chickens?
I mix grit and oyster shells along with mealworms, scratch feed, cracked corn, birdseed and a fresh fruit everyday and my Serama is eating their eggs so I wonder why mine is doing it. Cause I am giving them all kinds of vitamins and minerals

The coop is about 4x4 with 2 box nest built on
I have 2 hens and a rooster in a coop up high off the ground and it has the very small square wire around it and their nest are enclosed in plywood so I am pretty sure nothing got in the cage, but today upon checking the eggs there was one egg that had the side pecked out of it and the insides...
No she is a bantum and has 10 I want to trade 5 of her eggs out for the 5 Serama eggs I just got. She is still laying but she should start setting in the next few days. I just wondered if I should put them under her now or right after she starts setting
