Oh, and I thought I'd share, literally 2 minutes after my brother and I finished the yard, we started cleaning up tools just to watch this feathered brat land right next to the yard....kinda looks like he was waiting for some chicken nuggets.
Haven been on in a while, out last batch of chickens started plucking each other really bad and stopped laying, what eggs were getting laid were getting eaten. So we ended up butchering the ones we had, (Unfortunate, but they were costing way too much in food and I'm not giving away "problem"...

They are all supposed to be all Rhode Island Reds. They were all the same size untill she started having issues. I suppose it could be a breeder/factory mistake.

I'm also thinking about doing 2 different height levels, 1 lower 1 higher so they can climb/rest at different levels.

I'm aware. I plan on getting 1/2" square wire for the yard area.....but the risk is there regardless. I thought about netting for over the yard....I'll look into it. I need new netting for my blueberry bushes, anyway. Either way they will be at risk. They will only be "free-range" when myself or...
