Something we can put in our yard to keep cats out?

Sprinkle Cayenne pepper and/or slice up lemons and put them around where the cats hang out. What I do when they use my raised beds for a litter box and works well. Also used coffee grounds and peppermint oil work....BB gun

Sweet PDZ - granules or powder?

I'm using granules/pellets and it's working fine in my brooder. Less dusty-ness in an already dusty place.

...when your buying chicks on the sly and hiding them from your wife then sneaking out to the shed to 'look for something.'

Poop board convert *warning-graphic/gross poop pictures*

Lovin the PDZ thing, had never heard of it. Concern is about if PDZ is ok for composting..... Yes it is, with a neutral ph of 7.5. And also cost effective at $9.99 at my local Ga. TSC for 25lbs. Learned something new that will be great to keep the smell down with humid, hot season not so far...

why did you start keeping chickens

Prepper mindedness. Trying to be self-sufficient, at least starting. In the learning and study stages. Eggs, composted poop for an eventual garden. 6 hens, and they kinda grow on ya after awhile. Wanting more land to have more chickens!
